SFA professor receives international horticulture society's top honors

November 19, 2009 - Dr. David Creech, professor of horticulture at Stephen F. Austin State University, was awarded the Sidney B. Meadows Award of Merit, the highest honor of the International Plant Propagators' Society Southern Region, at its annual meeting in Biloxi, Miss.

SFA Orientation and Mobility blind training program receives $500,000 grant

November 19, 2009 - The Orientation and Mobility Training Program at Stephen F. Austin State University was re-awarded a $500,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Education to continue its unique training for the blind and visually impaired through 2014.

SFA history professor's book signing set for Friday

November 18, 2009 - Phi Alpha Theta, Stephen F. Austin State University's history honor society, will host a book signing for Dr. Court Carney's new book, "Cuttin' Up: How Early Jazz Got America's Ear."

SFA art galleries closed for Thanksgiving break

SFA to present faculty saxophone recital

November 17, 2009 - Saxophonist Brian Utley and pianist Ron Petti, both members of the music faculty at Stephen F. Austin State University, will present a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus.
